Detectives have investigated
allegations that paedophile teachers
abused pupils at Eton College.
Thames Valley Police launched the
intelligence gathering inquiry while
Prince William was still a student at the
public school.
He only left this summer and Prince
Harry is still at the Berkshire college.
Police did not charge any teachers at
the school and the investigation has
now been closed.
Chief Insp Jim Trotman said: "I can
confirm there was an investigation
under the name Operation Fledgling.
No evidence was found sufficient for
proceedings of any nature."
The inquiry followed claims that pupils
at some of the country's leading
boarding schools were sexually
abused by staff.
