Johannesburg - The Mpumalanga department of education
dismissed on Thursday five teachers who were found guilty of forcing
school kids to simulate sex in the classroom, SABC Radio News
reported.
The teachers, from the Sihlangene Primary School, coerced 16
primary school pupils, between the ages of eight and 12, to simulate
acts of sexual copulation during a story-telling session.
They were suspended by the provincial education authorities in June
1996.
Education Minister Kader Asmal, however, requested National
Director of Prosecutions, Bulelani Ngcuka, to appeal against a
subsequent suspended sentence which was handed down by the
Mpumalanga Magistrate's Court in August.
The five teachers received a five-year sentence and R5 000 fine, on
the charges of indecent conduct, suspended for five years, and a 30
day prison sentence or R1 000 fine on charges of assault, suspended
for three years.

Commentary - Notes:
Why are we not surprised?! These same stories are cropping up around the world about teachers and sex education. This should be an isolated incident by all reasoning, but its not. Who or what has led or taught these teachers to similate sex in the classroom? Are we being conditioned to accept this in the near future? Lest we forget - MOST teachers are GOVERNMENT employees!
